Stocks UP After Multi-Day Triple Digit Losses

Earnings Update

J.P. Morgan (JPM) misses estimates however the firm is profitable and the stock reactive to the downside at the open. Another bank, Well Fargo (WFC) meets the street on the earnings front and the stock is also down at the open. On the flip side, Citigroup (C) beat the EPS consensus and the revenue number and the stock is up over 3% at the open.

Stock News

CME Group, Inc. (CME) which operates securities and commodities exchanges around the globe announced that they would be reducing their work force by 150 employees and the stock was up nearly 2% on the news.  Intel Corporation is on the move today with news on investing in Chinese chipmakers but the earnings is expected after the bell today so this is one to watch closely. The Street is look for .65/EPS on Intel Corporation (INTC).

The larger issue hanging over the market right now is Global Growth. People looking for some safety may be eyeing the US 10 YR which is at 2.22 down nearly 3.00% by 10AM.

Technical concerns with the Dow Jones Industrial Average
