Forex GBPJPY AUDCAD The Great British Pound staged a rally that, at least momentarily, appears to have halted its' precipitous decline. The catalyst was a swing in polls that showed that those opposed to Scotland's bid for independence regained a majority. The cause for this shift in sentiment could be an earlier comment by BOE Governor Carney who stated that a currency union was "incompatible with sovereignty". So the Scots could choose independence but they will not have the Pound as their currency. Yen weakened again while the Aussie continued its freefall ahead of today's all important employment report. Swiss Franc fell after a SNB official reiterated that negative rates remain an option. Kiwi fell a bit more after the RBNZ left the OCR unchanged and restated that NZD strength was unsustainable.
Equity Nikkei 225 China H Shares  Japanese stocks rose aided to large degree by the weakening Yen. Chinese stocks fell after Premier Li Keqiang said that money supply growth had slowed after its' sharp rise in recent months.
Commodity Silver Heating Oil De-escalation of geopolitical tensions and prospects of tighter US monetary policy continues to weigh on Silver and Gold while US Crude oil's decline tested key support at 91.20 as inventories fell less than expected.
A technical analysis indicator used to try and determine the short-term trend of the market. The pivot point is the average of the high, low and closing prices from the previous trading day.
