Forex  AUDNZD NZDUSD A weaker than expected German ZEW economic sentiment report sent the Euro to its lowest level since last November. Aussie received a boost after an economic report showed that business conditions soared to a four year high.  Deceleration in housing price inflation sent the Kiwi marginally lower.
Equity  ASX 200 DAX 30  German stocks declined as ZEW gauge fell for the eighth straight month as the Ukraine crisis and concerns about EU recovery diminished investor confidence.   
Commodity  GOLD  Heating Oil Renewal of Ukraine/Russia tensions sent investors scurrying to the relative safety of Gold. Heating oil fell along with oil prices in general on an IEA report of lower forecasted global demand.
    A technical analysis indicator used to try and determine the short-term trend of the market. The pivot point is the average of the high, low and closing prices from the previous trading day. If the market in the following day trades above the pivot point it is thought to be exhibiting bullish sentiment, whereas trading below the pivot point is seen as bearish.
