Tracking the monthly trading performance statistics shows a glaring standout as month end approaches. The Canadian dollar seems to have come from nowhere and is battling it out with the British pound for the top spot in the 36-most actively traded pairs month to date. The pound has come back a little and now up just up 2.6 percent on the month against the U.S. dollar but the
loonie is up 2.3 percent over the same time frame. At one point on Monday the
loonie even became the best performing currency against the dollar month to date. Still a few days left until the end of the month but the loonie finishing on a strong note.
