Israeli Shekel Gains the Most Against the Dollar Year to Date

As month end comes closer, what is the best performing currency against the dollar year to date? Tracking the 36 most actively traded currencies against the dollar so far in 2013, it’s the Israeli shekel, up 4.1 percent, followed by the Canadian dollar, up 3.6 percent. At the other end of the spectrum the South African rand has become the worst performing currency against the dollar year to date with a 13.6 percent decline, nudging out the yen which has lost 12.1 percent loss and the Australian dollar down 11.2 percent. dollar trading
